User:DuplofenacI have a small collection of [BLOK] patches here
below is something i am unable to classify yet:
i'd like to mention something about patch naming conventions, of course people are free to name their sounds as they see fit. The problem is complete freedom vs trying to find that cool sound as fast as possible in musical emergency. A consistent approach to naming and saving patches will save you time and energy.
for percussion, the convention has been laid out rather clear
| BD | Bass Drum |
| SN | Snare Drum |
| RS | Rim Shot |
| CP | Handclap |
| CH | Closed Hi Hat |
| OH | Open Hi Hat |
| RC | Ride Cymbal |
| CY | Crash Cymbal |
| LT | Low Tom |
| MT | Mid Tom |
| HT | High Tom |
| CB | Cowbell |
| LC | Low Conga |
| MC | Mic Conga |
| HC | Hi Conga |
| MA | Maracas |
| CL | Claves |
that is.. if your percussion sounds are recognizable approximations of known drums. i would put forward that we name patches according to this list (and expand it) and suffix them with ST or MO for stereo and mono respectively.
It seems to be general practice to tune percussive patches to C3 and upwards, with BLOK voice settings it has become easy to quickly transpose the patch to adhere to this convention. Failing that, or to quickly save the patch out it may help to add the intended key to the file name like "perc_bd_name_c4sharp", a bassdrum might sound hot at one key but weird a semitone higher.
