The noise generator generates a constant source of whitenoise.
Use this input to alter the amplitude/volume of the noise over time. Note that if you DON'T connect this input to an envelope or something similar, the noise generator will always make sound! The default way of connecting an oscillator is therefore -> Envelope to the Amplitude input.
Noise generators are handy to create "air" in patches, or slight disturbances to make sounds less static.
